MISD will host the Multi-Cultural Festival on March 1. The festival takes place at the Center of Performing Arts and is free to the public. The event includes food and games. Student showcases will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Assistant Principal Leonard Cousins serves as Legacy’s campus representative for the festival.
“It allows everyone to celebrate their cultures, and then celebrate each other’s cultures,” Cousins said. “I am really looking forward to it. I think it’s going to do Mansfield well.”
Students from AP history classes, dressed as historical figures, will answer questions about who they are portraying and what they accomplished in their lifetime.
“We all come from different backgrounds, we come from different cultures, but I think that at the end of the day we all want the same thing,” Cousins said. “We want our kids to be successful, we want them to achieve academically, socially, and professionally.”
