Cheer coaches will be holding tryouts shortly for a new mascot, “Bucky the Bronco”. Over the summer, the previous mascot moved out of district, taking the Bucky costume with her. Though the costume will be returned, coaches need a student to fill Bucky’s shoes (or hooves).
Normally, coaches hold mascot tryouts at the end of the school year in order to select a Bronco for the coming school year. The newly chosen Bucky would then attend a short training camp to learn tricks, routines and funky fresh dance moves. However, because of the short notice, this year’s Bronco will not be required to attend a camp and will be coached by the school coaches and the cheerleaders.
An update will be posted when more information has been released about mascot tryouts.
