StuCo will be hosting a Color Run for the U2FC (United to Fight Cancer) event.
The U2FC Color Run is a Cancer Awareness fundraiser that benefits cancer research. All profits made will be donated to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center – Research.
The run starts at 9 a.m. and participants can either run or walk a two mile course around Legacy. Participants may also bring their pet to the run, but there are a few guidelines if you plan on doing so. All pets are required to be on a leash, and the pet owner is responsible for the cleanup of pet waste.
During the color run, Student Council members will be throwing colored powder at the runners. Each runner will receive an individual color powder packet as well. It is recommended that participants wear white to ensure that the color stains the shirt. There will also be ribbon stickers passed out before the run. Runners will place the sticker on their shirt and take them off after the run revealing a ribbon on the shirt that is not affected by the colored powder. To help keep the color on your shirt, insertcleverlinkhere.com suggests that you spray the shirt with vinegar and iron it.
If a student is interested in participating there are sign up forms in Ms. Ausdenmoore’s room (B101). By turning in money before December 13, the run will cost $25, however there will be race-day registration available for those who wish to register then, Race-Day registration will cost $30 and will begin at 8:30 a.m. the day of the race.
“I know the weather is supposed to be nicer than last year and I hope the turnout this year will be better than last year,” Ausdenmoore said.
