Mansfield ISD earned a superior rating in the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) for excellent financial integrity. Superior, the highest rating achievable from FIRST, is only given to a select few. MISD maintains a 15-year Superior rating record, and this year changes nothing. FIRST made the decision through careful analysis of 2015-2016 budgetary and financial records. MISD passed all 15 tests of financial integrity and keeps its streak. Legacy Principal Dr. Shelly Butler believes the honor is rightfully bestowed on MISD.
“It is very hard to waste money when there are so many checks and balances in place to ensure that spending is done with integrity,” Dr. Butler said. “Our MISD community can trust that every administrator and teacher seeks out the highest quality resources for the best price. I am proud to work for and be a parent in the best school district in Texas.”
