Leadership Club Council representatives and sponsors from every club gather at a monthly meeting to organize and communicate events and avoid schedule conflicts.
“This allows students to participate in more activity without having to attend another club meeting,” junior Nikki Childs said.
Teen Leadership teacher Dena Schimming and Journalism Adviser Leland Mallett decided to create the Bronco Leadership Council to prevent confusion.
“It’s good to have a lot of communication in a campus this size,” Mr. Mallett said. “I think it will build an even bigger sense of camaraderie and school spirit here at Legacy.”
Childs believes Bronco Leadership Council informs about other clubs activities helps her understand what’s going on.
“It’s a good idea, and I think it will help students become more involved,” Childs said.
At the last meeting members decided to hold a fundraiser for the victims of the Haiti disaster.
“I like that the decision to fundraise for Haiti was brought up,” Childs said. “It’s important to help those in need.”
Clubs and organizations also began planning for luck week on Feb. 16-19.
