“Because it’s [PLL] teen drama, and every girl loves drama.” -Maria Castillo,10

“It has everything adolescents want to watch; murder, mystery, young beautiful girls. It’s based off a book series so people are already familiar with it.” -Mallorie Carney, 12

Are you obsessed? Why/why not?

“I was obsessed, up until I Wikipedia-ed the ending, because the plot line is so good it’s obsessive.” -Maria Castillo, 10

“No, while I will admit it is a good show, I don’t watch it regularly and I don’t plan on starting, although I’ll indulge every now and then if there’s nothing better to do.” -Jake Sutton, 10

“Yes, I’m obsessed. I love the show so much and the books are good. If I miss an episode, I find a way to know what happened.” -Brooklyn Handy, 10

What character do you relate to and why?

“Spencer, because she’s very driven and stylish and I like to think I’m the same.” -Mallorie Carney, 12

“Emily, although I’m not lesbian, because I’m a swimmer and so is she.” -Maria Castillo, 10
Compare/Contrast the book and the show?

“It’s hard to compare them, because they’re similar plots, but there’s so many different details. Both are really good, however I only read the books so that I could know what happens in the story faster. I’m impatient.” -Brooklyn Handy, 10

About the Contributor
Madison Fountain
Madison Fountain, Personalities Editor
Hey, this is Madison! I'm your personalities editor here on The Rider. It's my senior year, but I have been on staff since I was a young sophomore. I enjoy long, romantic walks to the fridge and doing backflips through the school hallway while singing showtunes loudly. Juuuust kidding... sort of. Anyway, I'm also very involved in theatre (I wonder if they'll let me keep this spelling on the website). I'm kind of loud and I get distracted easily sometimes, but I'm ready to work hard this year as an editor and make The Rider the best it has ever been. [email protected]
