Key Club
Sponsored by Ms. Abbigayle Marion, Key Club provides opportunities for students to volunteer and give back to the community. Key Club meets once a month, on Tuesdays, and works events such as Toys for Tots, pep rallies and Warrior Run. Contact Ms. Marion at [email protected] if you wish to join this club.
National Honor Society
Sponsored by Ms. Alexandra Kim, National Honor Society allows students with a GPA of 97 or higher to work together and serve the school. The National Honor Society sends invitations to eligible students at the end of their sophomore year, and once accepted, students attend an induction ceremony to become official members. Journalism
Sponsored by Mr. Jonathan Dixon and Ms. Rachel Dearinger, this elective class allows students to create media for the school. Students can participate in elective classes such as yearbook, newspaper, broadcast, social media and photography. Band
Directed by Mr. Peyton Lee and Mr. Wade Russell, band allows students of all skill levels to work together to create music. Though band functions as an elective class, every semester students must audition to see which section they will play with. Choir
Directed by Mr. Josh Powell, choir allows students to pursue their love of singing as an elective class. Though students do not need to audition for the non-varsity choir, the chamber choir and the show choir require student auditions. National History Club
Sponsored by Ms. Danielle Panzarella, National History Club allows students to work together to learn about history. Students meet every other Tuesday and have the opportunity to tutor each other for classes such as AP Human Geography, AP World History and AP United States History. Student Council
Sponsored by Mr. Dedric Williams, the student council plans events and fundraising for the school. Students in this organization participate in the elective class and in the after-school meetings. Debate Club
Sponsored by Mr. Matthew Stuart, debate allows students to develop and practice their argumentative skills. Debate functions as both a class and an after-school club, allowing students who cannot fit the class into their schedule to still participate in events. AVID
Sponsored by Coach Amanda Shingleton and Ms. Cheryl Cason, AVID allows students to learn organizational skills and how to prepare for college. AVID functions as an elective, which allows students who cannot meet after school to gain an opportunity to learn these skills.
