7 Reasons to Visit Dallas

With Hurricane Harvey making its way through Southeast Texas, people should seek shelter in the closest safe area possible. Dallas.

Great Weather (If You Like the Heat)
Although Texas weather is not the most pleasant in any part of the state, Dallas typically has one forecast. Hot. Besides rainy seasons and the occasional tornadoes, pack your shorts and you’re set for life.

Great Sports Teams
Even though the Texas Rangers aren’t helping my argument this season, we have America’s team. The Dallas Cowboys. Along with the Dallas Stars, Dallas Mavericks and FC Dallas.

Dallas Has Twisted Root
If you haven’t been to one of the best burger places ever, you’re in for a treat. With limited locations, limited people have experienced the thrill of hearing your character being called or embraced the aroma of the pickle bar.

We Have a TV Show
Nothing screams Dallas like family feuds and dirty business. The 1978 soap opera aired on CBS until 1991. Fun fact: the couple that started Texas Tulips wanted to originally move here thanks to this TV series.

State Fair (Extended Stay)
If you’re not already considering moving here because of this list, I have something that will definitely make you pack your bags. The State Fair. From Big Tex to the famous State Fair corndogs, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful Skyline
If an unforgettable skyline wasn’t enough, we also have Reunion Tower, which features light shows, two restaurants, a 360-degree view of the city and a gift shop.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
If you love all things nature, Dallas is sort of the place for you. In the midst of the tall skyscrapers and crazy traffic, a 66-acre garden makes for a beautiful place for pictures.
