The First Bronco Prom Glamour Nite will be on Thursday, April 18 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Legacy. The event will help girls, who want to go to Prom but cannot afford all of the expenses, find the most expensive part, the dress.
“Each girl should have the opportunity to attend a once in a lifetime event,” Pamela Patterson said. “A night that will be a high school memory they can share with others.”
Mrs. Patterson and Janet Manning came up with the idea and have been wanting to do this for years. They wanted to do this because they have heard several students say they will not be going to prom because it is too expensive.
“We want [the girls] to be able to talk about their experiences with everyone else,” Mrs. Patterson said.
Senior girls wanting a dress must have a school ID with them. Mrs. Patterson and Mrs. Manning along with volunteers from the community are prepared to make sure each girl leaves with a dress.
“We would love to see each girl look and feel like Cinderella this night,” Mrs. Patterson said.
