MISD will host College and Career Night at The Center for Performing arts on Oct. 29 from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. MISD invited colleges such as the University of Texas at Austin, Southern Methodist University and the University of Arkansas. Pre-AP Algebra II teacher Julie Gross helped organize and promote the event.
“Students from across the district will be able to meet representatives from colleges, military and technical schools,” Ms. Gross said. “You can talk to the representatives there. They can give you flyers and contacts.”
Seminars about the ACT and SAT exam prep and preparing for college will take place at 6:15 p.m and 7:30 in the Center’s lecture halls.
Students can register at www.GoToCollegeFairs.com.
