A Look at Kennedale Wildcats

After winning their season opener against 4A Crowley High School in Crowley, the Kennedale Wildcats are a force to be reckoned with in the high school football 3A division.

Size and speed is what the Wildcats have but they lack depth. The Wildcats had a record of 8-4 last season, with an average of 30 points per game.  The Wildcats established their ground attack grabbing a 42-38 win. Racking up over 400 yards in rushing Kennedale sacrifices their passing game for their running with only 38 yards in the air and a completion percentage of 37 percent.

With eight returning offensive starters, including their quarterback, their entire starting defense is back for another season. The Wildcats have earned their spot to a top 100 team spot in Texas. Speed and their linebackers are their strength. (Senior linebacker Brett Wade has committed to Texas A&M University.)

Legacy Football players give their input on how they feel about Kennedale:

“Kennedale looks like a pretty good team,” senior quarterback Brady Bourke said. “I think if we play hard and execute on both defense as well as offense we will have a great game and come out with a win.”

The Broncos will face off against the Kennedale Wildcats in a battle of the offenses on Friday, Sept.  7th at Kennedale High School Stadium.

“We’re playing for each other,” senior wide receiver Sabastian Rodriquez said. “We had a good week of practice and everyone is working hard and is hungry for a win.”

Max, my name is Max... I think that I'm tall. I think that I can play football. I also deny that I am blonde. I really like Russian traditional music, and I love the new T-Swift song. Madison played it this morning, omg totes cried. I secretly love dance moms but its actually not a secret because I tell everyone. I also most definitely and completely undeniably have an immense amount of swagg. [email protected]
