Youngest of five children in his family
Played football in high school, making team captain three out of the four years on the team
Was first chair sax for three years in high school
Only one of his siblings to go to college
Went to Southwest college, then, after working a 40 to 50 hour a week job, went on to Tech
Was a football, wrestling and track coach
Believes his father is his hero
