He focuses in on where he needs to hit the pins to get a strike. Bowler and junior Ethan Cole went into his routine motion and let the bowling ball roll off of his fingertips. The ball curved, rolling and shifting the pins perfectly down to the ground.
Q: When do you start bowling?
A: Tryouts are on Oct. 11.
Q: What do you love about it?
A: I love the feeling of when you can feel the bowling ball come off your hand perfectly and you knock down all of the pins for a strike.
Q: Have you ever played for a team outside of school?
A: No, the only time I’ve ever played was with my family or friends.
Q: What about for the school?
A: No, but I’m excited to play this year if I can make the cut.
Q: How do you think the team is going to be?
A: It’s really too early to tell because there’s only a few other bowlers that I know are playing also.
Q: What’s your mindset before you bowl a game?
A: I’m always focused. Even though I play for fun, I still try to do my best every game.
Q: What have you learned about bowling so far?
A: One little mistake can ruin your score, so you have to stay focused every time you bowl.
