How has the season been so far?
“It’s been interesting because a lot of people doubted us, our coaches and staff the whole season, but we found a way to overcome adversity and keep moving forward.”
Can you go more in detail on your arm injury?
“I fell on my left arm wrong and got my X-ray Monday. It said it was a shoulder strain, so I’ll be ready to play soon. [Recovery] has been a struggle because I can’t do some of the things I was able to do, but I’m taking it slow day by day.”
How is it playing alongside your brother?
“It’s a blessing to play with my brother. When we were kids we would talk about how we would grow up to play on a varsity level and take our team as far as possible, which we’re doing this year.”
How has football impacted your life?
“Getting close with my teammates and family, especially my brother. We’re getting closer every day while creating bonds with our coaches and staff.”
How do you hope the rest of the season plays out?
“Winning every round, not worrying about who we play next and just focusing on this week playing Highland Park.”
Is football something you want to pursue in the future?
“It’s a lifestyle. I love it. I have to play it every day. I have to have a football in my hands every day.”
