Legacy’s Girls Cross Country Team competed in the District 10-5A Cross Country Meet. The only runner that qualified, sophomore Harmoni Turner, will compete in the UIL Regional Cross Country Meet.
“I feel honored to represent Legacy High School in [Cross Country],” said Turner. “Making it to Regionals is a great feeling.”
At the district meet, out of a pool of 52 participants, Turner finished in third place with a time of 20.44.9 (20 minutes, 44 seconds). The Regional Meet will be held on on Oct. 23 at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie. And Turner is ready to bounce back from last years injury and show what she’s made of.
“I’m truly blessed because I didn’t have a chance to do this last year because of injury,” Turner said. “But without Jesus Christ, my coaches and my family to support me through it all, I wouldn’t be running at all.”
