The Men of Tomorrow hosted a tie tying workshop for Legacy students and staff during all lunch blocks Sept. 25. Men of Tomorrow sponsor Mr. Ashley Brown hopes that knowing how to properly tie a tie will help students be more successful in the future.
“There are many occasions men are expected to wear ties,” Mr. Brown said. “The skill of tying a tie is important because it distinguishes the type of man you are.”
Sophomore Francisco J. Rodriguez believes that ties can help with earning jobs and opportunities.
“A tie is a really good way to get someones attention,” Rodriguez said. “It show’s them you’re smart and classy.”
Wearing ties has been linked to higher income jobs. According to a survey taken by TieATie.net, employees that earned between $50,000 and $200,000 annually dressed in ties the majority of the time.
“I hope students will learn to take more pride in themselves,” Mr. Brown said. “They are being prepared for their future.”
