“Ramen Eating Contest” read the ominous, faded-yellow signs hanging in the hallways. At only one dollar per entry, sophomore Brittany Candia and the rest of the anime club expect a
sizeable turnout.
“It should be a good amount of people,” Candia said. “The contest should be interesting.”
The club chose to have the ramen contest because they wanted to have a Thanksgiving feast but they wanted it to pertain to the club, so they chose to have a contest.
“We decided to do a mashup,” Candia said. “We thought it would be fun.”
The fastest person to consume three bowls of ramen will take home the prize. Grand total, four people will contribute to the cooking for the contest. However, the club has had to improvise and plans to use two stoves and several hot plates from the science classrooms to boil the water.
The contest will be held at Legacy High School in room A-Y322 on November 19 at 3:00 p.m.
“I just hope nobody throws up,” Candia said. “Other than that it should be great, but you never know what is going to happen.”
