STAAR EOC tutorials will be held on June 28-30 and July 5-7 in preparation for STAAR EOC retesting. Tutorials will be held for the Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II, and US History STAAR EOCs during this time. Though not required, these tutorials are recommended to anyone who must retest for the STAAR EOC.
Tutorials will be at Summit High School, and students may attend either one or two sessions per day, meaning any one student can receive tutorials in up to two subjects per day. The first session will be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:25 a.m., and the second session will be from 9:35 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If a students can only attend one tutorial, it is recommended they attend the first session rather than the second.
“Attending tutorials provides students with the opportunity to receive remediation in a smaller, more individualized setting,” Legacy Instructional and Data Specialist Ms. Courtney DeGray said. “Tutorials will be targeted, meaning they will focus on crucial areas of concern.”
Retesting for any of the required subjects will be held at each student’s home campus on the following dates.
Monday, July 11: 7:30 A.M. English I STAAR EOC
Tuesday, July 12: 7:30 A.M. Algebra I STAAR EOC and 7:30 A.M. US History STAAR EOC
Wednesday, July 13: 7:30 A.M. English II STAAR
Thursday, July 14: 7:30 A.M. Biology STAAR EOC
