Mission Improvable: Crunk Comedy For A Cure

For the fifth year in a row, students, parents and teachers alike will file into the Performing Arts Center for Mission Improvable’s annual Pink Fest improv show: Crunk Comedy for a Cure. Tickets for the show sell for $5 each. From the $5, 100 percent of all proceeds will be added into the total Pink Fest donation to the Moncrief Cancer Center at UT Southwestern.

Pink Fest coordinator Dena Schimming believes the improv show will bring in a bigger audience this year because of the guest appearances from students of each grade level. Mrs. Schimming also thinks the Crunk Comedy for a Cure improv show benefits Pink Fest in a big way.

“I think the guest appearances will get more people excited to attend the show,” Mrs. Schimming said. “It [the show] reaches a different crowd and also incorporates the theatre into the fundraising,” Schimming said. “We’re raising money for a great cause.”
