On Jan. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon, students from student council and teen leadership will host a multi-family yard sale in the school parking lot.

“There will really be a wide variety of things to purchase,” StuCo and Teen Leadership Coordinator Dena Schimming said.

Proceeds collected will help students with their final payments for the group trip to New York during spring break. The trip features not only sightseeing, but also chances to do service for the New York City Fire Department.

“I think volunteering at the Fire Department is a great opportunity for students to give back to people who dedicate their lives in service for others,” Mrs. Schimming said.

Donations for the yard sale are being accepted until Friday and may be dropped off in the Student Council room.

“[Students should] come check it out,” Mrs. Schimming said. “Our trash can definitely be someone else’s treasure.”
