Arizona to Texas: Best Local Food

Arizona+to+Texas%3A+Best+Local+Food

Chop House Burgers, Our place, and Chicken Express are all around the Mansfield and Arlington area. These food joints are serving great food over many years, but there are also new places popping up on every corner. Coming from a new state, Arizona, I am trying to find “that restaurant” that I will always go to. My family and I research, and drive around trying the interesting food in Texas, to see what we like best. I have had the regular Taco Bell and the In N Out before, but I want something unique.

Chop House Burgers – There is nothing I love more, than good juicy burger. I ordered the famous “Chop House Burger” with a giant basket of fries. When I saw how big it was, I fell in love. After the first bite, it felt like I took a bite out of heaven. I will be definitely be going back for seconds soon.

Dickeys – I consumed over a rack of ribs, mashed potatoes and cheesy macaroni with a couple of rolls. Barbecue makes family dinners better and they always leave you dirty. Dickeys food leaves you extremely stuffed after eating there.

Babes – Good ‘ole fried chicken at its finest. Babes was definitely one of the best places in Texas. I ordered chicken, of course, but if I were a judge I would give it a 10/10.

El Arroyo – I was not impressed at all. Their food was maybe a decent, but their service was plain terrible. I still haven’t found a decent mexican restaurant in Texas, besides “On The Border” but that was also in Arizona.

Mr. Jims Pizza – Grease with a side of pizza, coming right up. If you like delicious pizza, Mr. Jims serves it up. I would choose it over Pizza Hut or Papa Johns in a heartbeat. The crust was salty and the pizza was just fantastic, great combo.

Our Place – First class breakfast, thank you. Waking up early was not fun, but once I entered the building, I instantly awoke. Our waiter had the best personality and the food was a grade A. Even their hot chocolate was colorful and creative.

Chicken Express – Their four piece, gravy and a side, hit the spot getting out of school. I do not like sweet tea, but was forced to try Chicken Express’s tea and I did not regret it. But I really suggest running to a toilet soon after eating here.

Texas definitely knows how to cook food. Ive been to over 10 different restaurants, in Texas, and my favorite so far has to be Dickeys. Top notch barbeque with a combination of a great decor and environment, makes Dickeys a possibility for a good night.

My name is Austin Escalante, I am now a senior at Legacy High school. I am 17 years old. I was born and raised in Arizona, and this is the first time I have ever lived outside Arizona. I went to Verrado High School and was planing on never leaving Arizona unless I got my dream job. I've known all my friends for at least 3 years, some even more. My dad took a job here, and I was forced to move, leaving my girlfriend and other friends, and I had to quit my job. It seemed like nothing could get worse. It was over 1,000-mile drive that took us two days, 12 hours the first day and nine hours the second one. [email protected]
