To end the Key Club warrior run, Desteney Scott, 12, pours a bucket of water on Emily Nguyen, 12. Key Club donated $1,000 to Wounded Warrior. Kep Club hosted the Warrior Run at Legacy on Sept. 13 in honor of 9/11.

Xander Walker: Leaving His Legacy

Senior Xander Walker played football at Legacy as an inside linebacker and tight end. His teammates selected him as one of four captains for both the 2023 and the 2024 seasons. Walker was not only a leader on the field but in the classroom as well. He's ranked 19th in his class and is a member of NHS, Key Club, Student Council and Academic Decathlon. Xander is committed to Army to play defensive line at West Point and will be studying aerospace engineering.

At the varisty volleyball game against Arlington Lamar on Aug. 20, football players cheer on the team. Legacy beat Lamar.

The baseball team beat Sachse 5-4, in game two of the area playoffs May 9. They face Rockwall Heath in the regional quarterfinal games at 8 p.m. May 16, 5 p.m. May 17 and at noon May 18 if needed. All three games will be played at Dallas Baptist University.
