Emily Aller, 11, prepares to bowl at Alley Cats at a team practice.

A new bowling team now represents Legacy on the lanes. The team has completed the first half of the season with a 1-4 record.

“My experience on the bowling team has been awesome,” Myers said. “I’ve been given the opportunity to improve and it’s been fun to spend extra time with my friends. We are all still getting into the rhythm of things, but we are definitely improving.”

Practicing weekly from the start of the season in November, ten varsity bowlers continue competition season in January. Upon induction to the team, the players become official members of the Youth United States Bowling Congress. Players abide by UIL sport rules such as “no pass no play.” Mrs. Gross, Legacy’s bowling team coach, enforces this rule and encourages a positive environment for bowlers to get together and have fun.

“I envision this team to have a positive environment where we are all involved together,” Mrs. Gross said. “Not only that, we will have lots of Bronco spirit and have lots of fun.”
